ദോഷത്രയം

Here is a verse from Adi Sankara addressing Omni Potent, Inexplicable and Omni Present God:

രൂപം രൂപ-വിവർജിതസ്യ ഭവതോ ധ്യാനേന യത് കല്പിതം
സ്തുത്യാ നിർവചനീയതാഖില ഗുരോ ദൂരീകൃതാ യന്മയാ
വ്യാപ്തിത്വം ച നിരാകൃതം ഭഗവതോ യത് തീർത്ഥയാത്രാദിനാ
ക്ഷന്തവ്യം ജഗദീശ തദ്‌ വികലതാം ദോഷത്രയം മൽകൃതം

അല്ലയോ ജഗദീശ, ഞാൻ 3 ദോഷങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്:

1. അരൂപിയായ (രൂപ-വിവർജിത:) അങ്ങക്ക് ധ്യാനത്തിലൂടെ രൂപം കല്പിച്ചു
2. അഖില ഗുരോ, അങ്ങയുടെ അനിർവചനീയതയെ സ്തുതികളാൽ ഇല്ലാതാക്കി (ദൂരീകരിച്ചു)
3. ഭഗവൻ, അങ്ങയുടെ വ്യാപ്തിത്വം (സർവവ്യാപിത്വം ) തീര്ഥയാത്രകളാൽ നിരാകരിച്ചു.

സദയം ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

I have helplessly committed three offences, for which I pray forgiveness.

1. In meditation, I imagine that you have a form, when you have no form.
2. Oh spiritual master of the worlds, even though you are beyond
   the power of words to describe, I have ignored this limitation when
   praising you. And
3. When I go on pilgrimage to you few places, calling them holy. Thus, I deny that you are all-pervading.

Please excuse me – O Lord.

Another wording:

Oh Lord, being fully aware of your formless nature I explained your different shapes. By writing your worship mantra I have tried to give you a specific entity. Your presence is everywhere however I tried to specify importance of holy places. By doing the above three whatever misdeed I earned, kindly oh my Lord forgive me.
